I found this in a dime roll quite a bit back. I think it is a lamination error, am I right? It also could be struck through a fragment of metal, for the suspect area is raised and sharp on the edge and seems like a strip of metal that is attached to the coin, with the design there. Also, Would it worth anything?

Notice how the suspected error goes almost 360 degrees along the rim of the coin,

Looks like it was trapped in a dryer for a while to me.

I'm not sure about that, the reverse is perfectly fine, and the edges still have reeding and look like you would expect for a 40 year old coin.

You may be right. I can't see the reverse or edge. I'm just going by the obverse pic. The obverse looks like a dryer coin.

I will take more photos, or at least try to, tomorrow. The reason why I was not sure it was dryer coin is due the raised area not being typical of a dryer coin, more like a peeling kind of feeling, not the classic rounded edge, my coin has more of a flat layered area. Also, I thought that the whole coin is usauly affected on a dryer coin, is that always the case? Thanks!
