    I found the auction he was talking about... That is one specific title lol, sadly it was wrong, it's not 90% but 75%

    Coin is real but looks like somdamage at the lower part of obverse possibly slightly bent too as so many are. More then enough I'd say

    Yes it is, or would be. When the Trime was first introduced in 1851 it was 750 fine, but in 1854 they increased the fineness to 900 fine. In the case of this one though it is a counterfeit (date is all wrong) and probably not silver.

    These are not contemporary counterfeits for sure, made in china maybe ?

    sold for >500 dollars. shame. most likely a Chinese forgery, has that grainy, sort of burnt toast look to it.
