I was curious as to where everyone stored their coins and what they used? I was trying to store all my proof sets in my safe, but I ran out of room. I was thinking about storing them in a box and then putting them in a plastic storage bin. Is this a safe way to store them? Thanks.
JP's Corner has all sorts of storage boxes to suit your needs. http://www.jpscorner.com/coin-storage-boxes.html Chris
well I am not sure how safe I would feel with valuables in a storage bin to be honest. Maybe invest in a second safe? Or you might want to rent a SDBox.
I mostly collect cents. Anything AU brown and lower, goes into folders. RB and BU coins in either 2x2s or tubes, variety/error coins in 2x2s.
For any members who live in the Los Angeles area have you ever hear of our used this private company? http://www.usprivatevaults.com If so what have you heard or what has been your experience?
I have most of my coins in folders and then in a huge wooden trunk that has a newer lock on it. It's all about what you like and what your needs are.
I got mine in a safe in slab boxes. Lover priced stuff and junk silver in a couple drawers in my desk. I may need another safe in a year or Two the way I'm going tho
I do the same thing. You can get also get a nice little traveling safe from a hardware store that carries 2 slab boxes very well. Good for taking the collection to the LCS or a show.
