Hi, I'm new to this site and need some advice. I'm trying to sell some coins on ebay, which I've never sold anything on ebay, and can't get any pictures with my equipment that is clear enough to use for an ad. Where do i go from here? I'm sure I'm not the only one that has had this problem, help!!!!!!!!

Cheap 'point and shoot' camera with macro capabilities should do ya fine.

Remember selling on eBay will cost you about 12% of selling price for fees & postage.

Some members use their cell phone camera and have good luck with pics.

Do not get sucked in to a Pay Pal C-Card No matter how low interest is noted. As it Will Change!!!! as it will leaps and bounds

Like greenie says, a point and shoot with a macro option. You can also pick up a cheap camera stand online to give you a stable platform for taking pictures of your coins. Just set up in front of a window or door that gets a decent amount of light...Not direct sunlight... and shoot away. That's the way I take pics of mine and they come out nice. Let us know how you make out Dick. BTW, welcome to C/T.

My son just taught me how to take a nice image with my phone and put it on my PC hard drive in just a minute or so. From there it's easy for me to use images.
Thanks God for the kids that can teach us new stuff.

Idhair, I don't know what phone you have, but I bought a magnetic macro attachment for my iPhone, for less than $3 (shipped) on eBay. It was from China and took a couple weeks to get, but I can take an image like the one below. It's way better than the crappy USB, ultra bright, images I was taking before. I paid almost $20 for the USB scope.

Do you have a printer/scanner? Might be another option.

Let me look for a minute Vic. I bought this thing roughly a year ago. If I can find a similar one I'll link it. It has a "fish eye" lense also.

Edit: This is the exact one I purchased. Item # 400803448532

Danged near any cheap digital camera with a macro setting will do. ( <$100 ) Just look for the little flower in the camera settings as it allows you to take close ups.

My cheap old smartphone takes better coin pics than my $3500 camera. Plus, you can link to your Phototshop and drop pictures right in so you have access from your computer and vise-versa.
