@Sawyer you're right they're worth just with 25 cents. Washington quarters minted before 1980 at the Philadelphia mint have no mint mark.

@Sawyer , I was afraid you'd feel that way. Don't take it too seriously. We've all been in your shoes, with the same questions, some of us out here just forget it. o_O

What got you looking at your change, just looking for old coins? AND before you answer that, be careful, one of the dates on your coins is only 2 years before I was born :pompous:

Lol i dont know i was just interested in that something we use so much can be so rare.... I dont know if you are into roll hunting but im thinking of getting in to looking through halves and i was wonder what i should look for i know the 1934-1964 and 1965-1970 the "silver years" but what else

Well I'm no authority on what to look for, variety wise with half dollar roll hunting, but I'd say 99% of what you will find in rolled halves will be Kennedy halves. That's not to say you won't come across a Franklin half, or even a walking liberty half, but those will be rare finds in rolls theses days. Kennedys were struck starting in 1964. Naturally the 64s are 90% silver, but 65-67 are 40% silver still. So that's something to start with. When it comes to varieties to look for in rolls, someone else might chime in on that subject. Search the forum here, and other coin forums, also I'm sure there are some good Kennedy half sites out on the interwebs as well. Varietyvista.com comes to mind for information on Kennedy varieties too.

Good luck, glad you came out to ask questions. There is a ton to learn and do in this hobby.
