The weight is 3.23 Gr. Thickness 0.067" and Dia. 0.747" Also there's something in his face. Maybe a "secret mark to avoid forfeit in Lincoln Cents" THANK A LOT FOR YOUR COMMENTS.
I believe that. Colonial coins were "Recycled" into classical and modern coins. In reality... nothing wrong in doing that.
Oh brother meds getting to me....I see nothing in the triangle, but above it, I see a faint 73 which was probably pressed in there by another coin. Why would the weight be off though?
We're talking a .12 gram increase from the 3.11 gram specification? Anyone know what the tolerance was? I believe the current tolerance is .13 grams for the cent but that would not be very helpful if the tolerances were stricter in 1953.
The over-weight was the fact pushed me to check both surfaces with more attention. I keep believing it's a "RECYCLE MATERIAL PLANCHET" coin. If the same material receive HEAT TREATMENT two times for some reason turns to be heaviest.
The enlarged photo appears that only the face is recessed, but not the obverse and reverse photos?? looks to be different cents?? Just saying.
It's the same cent. most of the times I take pictures from 4 different "lighting" angles. That's why some time they look different.
With a souped up tempo? Is he...on a roll? Is it...time to go solo? Is he...rollin', in his 5.0 with his rag top down so his hair can blow? To the extreme, does he rock a mic like vandal? When he lights up the stage does he wax a chump like a candle? Dance! Gotta love a little Vanilla Ice...Ice Baby!
wishing a happy Christmas for all of you. Remember that. GO TO THE CHURCH is better than go to a Bar. Enjoy your holidays. And don't let negative people to change your emotions.
