My main pick up branch for cents is shutting down after the first of the year so I'll be searching out another bank or branch that's willing to hook me up. Hate losing this branch as they were close to work and always very accommodating - as long as I promised not to dump there.

I live in AK... To be more correct, there are a limited number of halves here that are constantly recirculated with deminimus outside inputs.

 

oh that makes sense. but you can't order halves from the fed at your bank?

 

I can order halves but there are too few people to recharge the halves with any "new" ones, so I get my own dumps time after time...pointless for me to search halves...I should add each year I am given part of the oil wealth AK has (roughly $1,200 per year), which is likely worth more than the silver or errors I would otherwise pull from circulation, so I am not complaining about where I live

 

Went through a box of pennies. It was split approximately 79% Copper-Plated Zinc/21% Copper Alloy.

4 Canadian Pennies:

• 1955-D

A pretty poor box, although I did find the last coin I needed to complete my Lincoln Memorial circulation set...the 1968-S.

On the plus side, my roommate brought me home a 1943 steel cent that somebody brought in to the library where she works. It will make a nice addition to my circulation set.

1971D clash w/abraded away nose and outline of laurel branch


1984P clash w/wing feathers in front of mouth an chin and marks from rays below chin, wing feathers above nostril and branch marks on bridge of nose

i think i'll keep it anyway, i like to hoard pennies. i have half a box of the second bicentennial design that i saved back in 2009, and a few jars of circulated memorial cents from my change.

 

I forgot - the wife and I are done CRH for a bit, the holidays, she is down on her knee and we need a break. So last weeks results and all that we have done since 2012...

Well this is it for a while. I will break a rule....I will take back my halves to the bank I get them from for counting......

We are done for a while...it is not that we do not like it and this hiatus might be short, but for now....we are taking a break.

$1,000 BWR halves - 2003D, 2012D, 2013D, and 2005S
went to two banks near my school that i had never noticed before:

Credit union A: $3 halves yielded one 1967
Small local bank B: $1.50 halves was a skunk

 

Well to be honest what I have found are not that good. Cheaper to buy the proof sets. Now I did fill 7 Kennedy Books (No Proofs), that in itself was an accomplishment. The only thing I had to add was the 1970's. Still 7 books all BU, they are nice.

 

$4 loose halves - 1x 1969
$3 Ikes - skunk
$500 quarters - 13 bicentennials, 1972S proof

 

Just finished off the last of my $250 in cents before I go pick up a double order today. Loomis isn't making a delivery next week so I am getting two weeks' worth today. Gonna be swamped for a bit.

Anyways...$250 in cents gave up a paltry 87 wheats (oldest was 1919S), 2 pre-50 Canadian cents and a 1998 WAM(my 41st).

 

Ugh...
Just did 4 boxes of halves: 4 NIFC.
I have 4 more boxes to get tomorrow.

Yeah. I'm hoping that tomorrow's boxes are better. I may not keep up with them if they continue to suck.

 

try and see if your bank can order you $1,000 bags instead of $500 boxes. i usually have better luck that way.
