I am not an expert on foreign coins so I really need help identifying them. I'd love to know value, names, and metal composition. image.jpg image.jpg

You would be surprised what you can find by typing the legends on the coins (date denomination, country name, other words) into a Google search, matching your coin to the specifications and images you find in searches and attempting to identify them on your own. It's part of the fun and discovery of learning about coins, instead of letting others do it all for you.

For values you can try searching completed listing on eBay, then estimate the grade/condition of your coins to those which sold and get a ball park idea for what your coins might also be worth.

A book on World Coins will also help you out if you get into this sort of stuff.

If you get stumped on some coin IDs, then post what you know in the thread and see how others here fill in the details you couldn't figure out.

    Good luck and have fun!

Most of these are pretty easy to identify because they say right on them where they are from and what they are.

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

Those all say exactly what they are and where they are from. The only ones that might be tricky are "Osterreich" = Austria and "Deutschland" = Germany.

As for values, those are mostly very low value coins.

The British pieces could be tricky as well because you have to understand the abbreviated Latin. But identify one and you can identify the other three.

send another photo of any you can't identify after doing some research and I'm certain we can help.
