Just curious, by any chance, are you one of the often referred to experts in our hobby?

If Stacks or Heritage submit anything there will be a grade under even Genuine if cleaning is able to be seen. money is worth more than us the collector.

I asked you first. No, I'm just an average collector, trying to sift through the wealth of disinformation provided daily, here on CT, while waiting on some sort of experts to show up and corroborate. You're with GDJMSP, so naturally, I thought maybe, finally, an expert. My expert is @Lehigh96 in this corrosion matter. As I mentioned previously...

That isn't true at all. You are very experienced and are often times correct. Then there are times when you get hung up on terminology (die polish lines) but are still technically correct. And then there are still other times when you are just wrong. This is one of those times.

I will ask once again; please explain scientifically how only the devices of the obverse of the coin would suffer from pitting corrosion while the remainder of the coin is unaffected?
