My first thread of this type. This is in a yellow ANACS holder and I hope I've given enough angles. Thanks.
The Norfolk commem is rather easily found in awfully high grades from each NGC, PCGS and ANACS. Even though I think the coin appears to perhaps have somewhat muted luster from a dipping, I will venture MS66 simply because they are so readily found with high grades.
Bought it raw and see it the way you guys see it. Haven't bothered to crack it out yet but this is for all those who thinks ANACS consistently over grades (I'm not an ANACS fan BTW but had something to attribute and this went along for the ride) Try this one
Well nobody cares so I'll just post the answer so years from now if somebody stumbles across this thread they won't be left hanging.
Couldn't say for sure on the cleaning without looking at it, but I was guessing AU55. On the Norfolk, which btw has always been my favorite traditional commemorative design aside from the Pan-Pacific $2.50, my inclination was 65 much for the same reason mentioned that there are so many high graded coins out there of the issue. Aside from a single tick on the inside of the rim at 10:00 obverse, I couldn't see a single hit or abrasion on the coin.
