On/off topic...I got a nice surprise earlier this year. Was selling a vintage frying pan on Ebay as is. Someone purchased and 3 months later it came back to me re-furbished by the Kraft Company along with a free box of skillet fixings. Came out really nice. Got my 10 minutes of fame on their site as they posted the photo also. You never know.
I had a strange event on ebay earlier in the year; a guy bought a proof silver eagle with box and coa from me. His name indicated recent immigrant and he left me feedback as soon as I sold it, which almost never happens. A couple months later it came back to me as undeliverable, which made me wonder what happened to the guy since I got no communication. So I refunded him, a mystery.
That was strange. Sometimes I do get an early feedback, just can't remember if it might be from someone who purchased in the past or not. You did the right thing of course, hope he got the refund.
No, the coin and box came back to me as non-delivered and I figured I owed it to him to refund, no communication.
Hmmm. I got an email from them offering free shipping the day after I made a purchase. I asked if they would make it retroactive one day and all I got was "no popcorn for you".
Maybe it's and apology for selling their customers product that is now worth 25% - 50% less than what they paid.
