I've never been good at pictures through holders, so please excuse the poor pics. This is a scratch, correct? I sometimes Can't tell the difference in an error and a scratch. Looks neat though. w1.jpg w2.jpg w3.jpg w4.jpg

Those are fine pics! Thanks for sharing. Boy! The Mint QC really missed a whopper of a hit on this one. I don't think it's a error but if someone gets any errors from these, they'll have done better than most chasing after these.

Under the old system, before the web page update, the fact that they allowed you to order 5 under the limit, would mean the previous order(s) have been cancelled, I've been there. I've also had limited orders cancelled when shipping to a different address and using the same card. But, who knows with the new system. Have you called the mint?

That is some gash on the dollar coin.

I do not want to do anything else to flag myself, so no, I have not called and asked.

Which (non-commem) dollar coin since 1970 has a lower mintage? I am drawing blank on that.

Maybe the type 2 1979 SBA? Nope probably not.

I'll go with the 1995 W $1 Silver Eagle (Mintage 30,125). It generally commands a hefty premium. :D

Don't you just wonder if that was a pre-arranged sale to drive prices up on all the others? Lots of publicity from it. I would like to know if the owner got an adjustment on it later. Or at least some kind of guarantee if the bottom falls out on it's value. I believe the owner of Silvertowne personally knew the collector who purchased it. Isn't that convenient.

Uhhh, does anybody remember the 2008 Rev of 2007?

Right out of the gate and only 46,318 produced.

It's the billing address for the card, not the shipping address. At least that's what got me on a subsequent order after the 5 per household limit was implemented.

STOP ALREADY! With that freaking Gold Kennedy Reminder!

On a serious note, I went ahead an "invested" $2250 into a 55/55 Doubled Die.
Just like gold, they immediately dropped in price.

The Bottom Line was expressed earlier: "At $13.95, these are worth the risk."

If only somebody told you just 3 days after the release that the gold Kennedy would crash and burn...

Big difference between the collecting base for ASE's and Sacagawea dollars. It will be interesting to see where the pricing on this dollar finally lands.
