1955-D ddo High Grade

    Why not send it Mike Diamond or Mr. Wexler? These guys charge less (I think) and they are more experienced than NGC at this type of stuff.

    Im sure it was said already, but just for the sake of repeating.....

    If you see doubling on the date AND the mintmark, then its machine doubling.

    If you see doubling on both sides of the coin, then its most likely machine doubling.

    Correct me if Im wrong, but I believe the last coin verified to be a DDO & DDR was in the 1940s, and it wasn't that impressive.

    Does NGC actually attribute varieties? I thought they only verified attributions.

    It seems to me this horse has been beaten a couple of times.

    Why would you send it to NGC?

    I haven't graded a coin before but have been studying Double dies. I might try another grading authority. PCGS maybe?

    Here is another. This is all over the coin. The letters are also coming out ofthe right side. The light and blur is not giving enough

    However, I see no indication in any of the photos that this is a doubled die.
