    Looks acidic to me. look at my avatar. Acid can be many things.. people think ACID.. yikes.. Ketchup, lemon Juice etc.. all fall into the acid category.

    I found coins with my metal detector and when I cleaned them off, they look similar to this. Just another thought :)
