Morgan Gurus please look at this coin...

I believe it is top of grade or perhaps higher. It is already graded by a TPG. Could you Morgan experts please chime in as to what you believe the grade should be, and why? The 'why' would be most helpful. I was going to make this a 'guess the grade' but these posts are ignored by some and I need to know if the experts here agree with the grade assigned. FWIW I have seen less desirable coins with equal or + grades that have much less eye appeal than this one - in fact I paid about a 20% premium for this coin over a coin with a same grade from the same TPG because it looked so much better. Other bidders thought it was much nicer too, apparently :-( . I'm definitely no expert but am slowly learning. Please help!

    Merry Christmas in advance!

I'm tempted to say MS67, but there is a little too much chatter in the fields, both obverse & reverse, for my taste.

I'm not seeing the luster in the images. I'm at 65.

I'm in the MS-66 camp as well. The contact marks in the left side of the field of the obverse and the brush over the cheek limit it from going any higher for me.

Very beautiful coin and I'm going to say 66 or very strong 65.

    I'm just guessing...

    MS-64

I don't know why, but the cheek gives me the impression that it has been wiped.

There seem to be enough lines and dings around on both sides, mostly near the legend, that I could see it be as low as 64. The ear has a gouge or ...???

The scratches in the field, around the 9 and 3 o'clock tell me it's not higher than my suggestion, but it's definitely above 63 or 64. There is some wear on the cheek but not enough to bring it down to 64 and lower.

I noticed a similar mark on the first E.

    A 65+ or 66 a very appealing coin

If there's luster, in hand, 66, otherwise 65
