What do you think the grade of this quarter is? The first two photos are in light that shows contact marks and scratches and the last photo gives an idea of luster and eye appeal.

Pictures in the holder are pretty much useless.

    In my opinion, but, hey

    what do I know

I did not want to remove the coin from the holder than put it back in a new one or salvage the old one, plus have the potential to mishandle the coin. IMO the first two photos are somewhat decent, but I agree photos of coins in the holder are not that good.

    my likes!

MS65 Looks like the obverse has a lot goin' on in the fields and on Washington's cheek and neck...but still another nice frosty one...Strike seems to be a better on this one than your 46S...on the reverse, the leaf over the A in DOLLAR is at least viable and the leaf over the R is strong. The feathers on the breast and inner wings seems to be stronger as well.

    Nice Washy!

Thanks! It is amazing how hard it is to find an extremely strong strike with early Washington quarters. I love the old silver Washington quarters, High grades are very nice, but I also think that very worn silver Washington quarters look very cool too.

could go 66, but much depends on luster which is tough to gauge from photos

I agree, they are a fun series to collect, and most are relatively cheap, though some key dates help make it a fun challenge to complete.
