First time I have seen an upside-down slabbed coin. As listing states, coin is medallic alignment, so it is upside-down regardless of which side of the slab you look at. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Great-Brita...D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
That is just terrible. His head should be upright. What were they thinking? I've seen some stabbed where it looks like coins have turned a little and got off center, especially the old green rattlers or whatever they are called. But this one is plain terrible. Too bad, since it's a beauty of a coin
With enough jostling coins rotate in all forms of holders. I'm not saying this one wasn't put in the slab upside down, but who cares? It's still the same coin regardless of it's orientation in the plastic tomb.
Not my coin, just saw it while searching the 'bay and found it odd. Surprised that the person that sent it in didn't send it back for correction.
Look, the Brits still insist on driving on the wrong side of the road, so what else would you expect. Chris
The coin was obv down when the person put it in the holder. Most likely being more familiar with US coins he placed it in the holder with top edge of the reverse toward the bottom edge of the insert. That is how you would do it with US coins. But with a medallic die oriented coin that would make both sides upside down in the holder.
