There is no way to know when they will stop selling them. They could stop at the end of the year, or they could continue selling until the supply struck runs out. If they sell out the full mintage before the end of the year they will stop then. But once the year ends they can not strike any more coins even if sales of coins on hand continues. The special 2014 coins have an obv design very similar to the 1964-70 halves, the regular issue 2014 halves are noticeably different from the 1964-70 design.
The obv has been modified several times since 1964, lowering the relief, reducing the size of the bust, widening the rims (1971) and modifying the hair details.
now the maximum limit for kennedy four coins set is adjusted to 225,000 from 300,000. and as of today 165,824 set were sold. that is 73,7% of the new max. the mint will keep on selling this until sold out. p.s. 2014 currency and coin set to out of stock after only few days of offering.
