I inherited a small coin collection from my grandparents. My grandmother gave it to me early about a year ago. There was a bottle of foreign coins in the collection. I decided to go through the bottle and see what was in it. I found these silver coins: a 1951 Canadian dime, a 1926 Mexican 10 centavos coin, and a 1921 Swiss half franc coin. It's nice to find silver that you didn't know you had.
There were so many loose coins that I didn't have time to go through them at first, and I kinda forgot about them. Besides, I didn't expect for there to be any silver in them. I was nicely surprised!
Nah, she has never left North America but I think she did go to Mexico so that's possibly where the Mexican coin came from. I assume the rest of the foreign coins came from a coin shop.
I bet a lot of us coin collectors overlook world coins. That's good for me tho, since I pick up these coins usually at great prices
