Please vote in the attached poll if you think this Jefferson Nickel meets the NGC requirements for 5FS (5 Full Steps). Thank you, comments welcome as always.
The bottom two steps are allowed to be merged together for 5FS. The bottom step only needs to be complete for the 6FS designation.
Ok, thanks. I can't change my vote but in that case it might get it, I see 5 steps. It looks to me there's one hit that contacts each step but doesn't break the lines.
PCGS would probably allow it. I don't think I would call it FS because there appears to be bridging of steps 3 and 4, in at least 2 places. This might look different in hand - but based on those pictures I'd say no.
I voted yes. I do not collect this series, so it's more of a swag. Looks like the only interruptions are minor contact marks, which I thought was allowed.
I would agree with this. Its close for me, but I see two tiny spots it looks like they are merged, but it is very close.
I voted No. Shot yes, but marginal one. I see bridging of the 3/4 steps under the 2nd pillar and just to the left of the 3rd pillar.
One mark Ngc seen is why no steps details Very nice Nickel!! But a square mark on first step is why no FS grade. Otherwise 4 or 5 steps details grade
