Tip for shortening URLs at Heritage

Again, maybe some/most of you already know this, but...

If you a long ugly URL from Heritage such as this:

http://coins.ha.com/itm/seated-doll...smedia-wsl-price-for-problem-f/p/1216-28158.s

(forum is auto-truncating it for display...)

and want to email it to someone, or just have a nicer URL, then do this:

1) Grab the last part of the URL (in this case, "1216-28158")
2) Add "http://www.ha.com/" before it
3) Voila!

http://www.ha.com/1216-28158 should redirect you and still get you to the right place.

It is a pretty easy BBcode tag to learn:

[url = {url}]{text}[/url]

I added a space before and after the "=" because it kept turning my example into a link, eg

{text}

 

Well I mean for shortening links you are sending to people you know or are dealing with, not spamming strangers lol
