Did Littleton purchase the Dansco company?

I was having a discussion with @C-B-D in another thread about displaying my Bust halves, and he goes on to show me this new folder he has for the Early Halves.

It looks EXACTLY like a Dansco album, so much so that it would seem Littleton bought out Dansco. Does anyone know for sure?

Maybe we can get updated and more variety on the albums!

That's seems a little odd since Littleton already makes their own albums. Those green things.

I'm hoping someone else will have some definitive information on this, it's been driving me crazy since it was shown to me.

Why would it look and feel like a Dansco, but have Littleton blatantly stamped all over it?

Dansco probably put their labels on them

For what it's worth, they aren't for sale on the Littleton website. But I don't think Littleton just stamped their name on them, because nowhere on them does it still say "Dansco."

I think there's another Dansco knockoff out there, with black covers. If I'm not mistaken Wizard Coin Supply was selling them.

Why, Littleton has their own albums already?

There are near countless companies out there who make products that sell both under their brand name and under the name of companies who have contracted them to produce whatever product for them. While some can and do have the original company's name attached, this is not absolute; just because the album does not say "Dansco", this does not necessarily mean that it was not made by or somehow acquired through them.

Never thought of a licensing arrangement.
If the design isn't patented then they could have made it themselves though. Anyone thought to send an e-mail to Littleton and ask what the deal is?

Seems strange that Littleton would enter into a licensing agreement with Dansco. As mentioned, they have their own line of albums, and they certainly have the advertising budget to promote them.
