    hi everyone my name is Abe
    i have a few 1oz gold coins.
    one is fyngoud 1oz fine gold 1978 i think its mint
    and another one fyngoud 1oz fine gold 1982 mint

    what are these worth and how should i sell it?

    Gold is currently selling for $1,192.80 per ounce, but it can change daily, M-F.

    is there any greater value to the fact its a coin some sort of collectible or something?

    it is bullion. unless someone needs that year just bullion spot price.

    I would go with a big outfit like APMEX or Provident. It's likely that you'll receive more money from them than from any local dealer. It's possible that you could get more by selling directly to a collector, but that opens you to the risk of fraud or violence.

    Note that Provident has a minimum amount of $1000, which you would meet with no problem. APMEX says their quoted prices are for $10000 or more; if you offer them a lot with a total value lower than that, their rate per coin may be lower.

    you can go to www.coinflation.com to look at metal pricings (you will rarely get that much for your coins but it's a good starting point)

    Yes, it is a good starting point.

    For what it's worth, Provident appears to be offering buy prices above spot for a variety of gold and silver coins, including Krugerrands.

    They will only bring the daily spot/bullion price(see the apmex site).....
