Hi. I couldn't imagine that both Constantius the Second and Constantius Gallus resemble so much. While browsing through Wildwinds , they mentioned that Constantius Gallus with the fallen horseman has an unlisted reverse break. As such, it was referred to under number RIC VIII - 188 B. I would kindly ask Whether my coin represents Const. II or Const. Gallus. Then the reverse shows clear enough die break or die cracks ( I'm not familiar with ancient coin errors ). In any case , please estimate the approximate value out of curiosity, at least. Thank you.. Charles
It's Constantius II - Gallus was never portrayed with a diadem since he was never Augustus, just Caesar. This is a common falling horseman type and although it has nice eye-appeal, some of the legends are off-flan. Value, around $10 in my opinion.
