A cull dollar

It's been a long time since I have carried silver dollars in my pocket. As all the silver dollars I own now are graded and in plastic, I went to eBay and overpaid for this cull. It's been bouncing around in my pocket with an 1804 replica and a 1929 Thurston token.

So then I thought, why not have a few more coins of the era? Maybe pick up some cull Barbers, some V Nickels and some common Indian heads? It would be kind of nutty, but the idea of walking around with a pocketful of old change kind of appeals to me :)

I used to walk around with a 1942 WL half in my pocket. While not that coin, a 1942 WL half is what got me collecting coins to begin with. Makes for a really nice lottery ticket scratcher.

I found a very worn 1917 dime and a only slightly better 1919 to add to my pocket :)

    That's weird.

Well, not really but just remember not to spend them and DO NOT sit on any couches as change has a habit of jumping out of your pockets and hiding under the cushions.

I'm sure there's a pocket piece thread somewhere but to continue this one, I carry the world's ugliest silver eagle and a 1908-O half dollar with a W carved in the neck.[IMG]

I carried an 1884 Morgan as a key fob on my keychain, but the loop holding it to the keychain kept breaking and dropping the coin in parking lots etc so now the coin fob rest on my keyholder on my desk.

I got a friend that's got a peace dollar that's worn nearly flat. Is his second one first was worn to it was a silver slug. Me I don't dare carry any coins as my pockets nearly every day end up as a receptacle for nails and screws.

Nails and screws have a bad habit of working holes into pockets - from personal experience.

So do a particular daughters flipping bobby pins that she leaves in her pockets. I have found a lot less since I told her if the dryer was destroyed by those things she would buy a new one.
