    I think more around 750.00 to 800.00.
There are some coins in that spread worth more than melt by all means. ;)

Has anyone purchased these lately?? Mine are all un graded in mint tubes.

A 1986 - 2006 BU "un-slabbed" set of ASE is worth about $400 in a Dansco album. I've never really understood why people have bullion coins graded as they are all uncircualted. I'd rather spend my money on more coins rather then give it to a grading service.

    Howdy trip20....
Well to help you understand a little more, not all bullion coins are created equal!
While being stated as bullion there are many american Eagle silver, gold and platinum coins that are very low mintages and hard to get in higher grades!
For Silver Eagles...the 1996 comes to mind right away as well as the new 2006 W burnished die coins. Quite a few of the earlier date eagles are harder to find in Gem BU MS 66 or better. Many of the gold coins are difficult as well. Try paying bullion $$$$ for any 1/2 oz coin with Roman Numerals on it!! Price shock city there!!

Some collectors want the best for their registry sets...would you not enjoy having one of the best rated sets in the World? Perhaps and perhaps not. That is the beauty of collecting.
You are right about your coins in the folder.. I would not pay over melt for them.

I hope this has helped you some. Not all folks like graded coins...but a lot of folks do!

    Regards,

    RickieB

Wow... I didn't think it was that much....

Even thought I'm not planning on selling anytime soon, I guess it'd be cool to know what it would go for...

I know NGC has.... I have one... Actually I think I have two...

I'm working on a set of thes in MS69...

Then I'm gonna do one in PF69

I just started playing with the "Registry Sets" stuff, not long ago...

There is no way I can compete on scores for Registry sets, I just think its a neat way to be able to check on what I have while I'm away from my collection... So, If I have'em, I might as well enter them....

Its also an OK way to share... I just gotta get some pics...

I've never paid more than $700.00 a set on ebay. I look for bargains and then flip them or split them up regularly. The last set that I bought about 3 weeks ago included the 07 ASE in 69 and cost me $699 including shipping and insurance. It all depends on how patient you are and where you look. There are always deals to be had and there are always people who are willing to pay more for this set.

If you want to know what it's worth so you can buy ..look on ebay for current pricing data.
If you want to know what it's worth to sell ..then look in NN or CW to see what the dealers who advertise are asking for them. I don't know anyone who buys out of NN or CW ..most realize the mark up is outrageous. Advertising costs money and the only way to pay for those full page ads is to charge more for your coins.

    ??? $900-$1100 ???

Wow, I'll sell you as many as want for $800! I can buy them for $700, with NGC case, from several online retailers. And item number: 330095926648 went for $585 on eBay. Still about $200 overpriced IMHO. I agree with the earlier post. Just buy the coins, slabs are a waste of money. Unless you think the plastic cases are worth several hundred dollars, or you own stock in the grading service.

    Howdy..

It is a choice and that is it...you either buy raw or slabbed. To each his own...
