what abut all the pennies with the area around 12 o'clock on the reverse that has fades letters, missing "e" from motto, but it usually litimed to that area. is this a grease strike?
A grease-filled die can occur anywhere there is an incuse surface where grease and debris can accumulate. We'd have to see the coin in question. (Start your own thread so as not to hijack this thread.) Chris
