To those of you who have dealt with David Carr, formerly of Delaware Valley Rare Coins and Rare Coins of North America, it is with heavy heart that I mention his passing yesterday, Thursday 11/13/2014.

Dave was the consummate gentleman coin dealer, and a devoted family man, and will be very badly missed by all who knew him.

To those who never dealt with Dave, hopefully you at least got the chance to meet him.

We should all aspire to be as congenial, as knowledgeable, and as honorable as he.

I want to make sure everyone knows, this is not Daniel Carr of the Moonlight Mint fame....I thought that and had to check.

Very agreeable man, he smiled quite a bit and was friendly. Sharp when it came to knowing how coins would grade. I saw him at a number of shows and a couple shops.
