Went to the Philadelphia Mint today

    Nice cold rainy day so I took a ride to the US Mint and got a few things: 8 Everglades National Park Quarter, 1 Taylor incased dollar and 2 coloring books for the grandchildren.

    With the one notable exception of a Native American tribe that invented it's own written language the rest of the tribes had words and whole languages that were transcribed as the person writing it transcribed it into what they thought the spelling should be. So spelling is going to have a variety particularly with older names - no one really knows how this Shoshone lady even pronounced her name.
