We have many silver dollars and I am starting with the oldest. Would like any info you can give on them.

We would need to see photos of both sides of each coin (one at a time, please).

I'm bookmarking the numismedia site; thank you! PCGS overestimates the cost of these coins. This one feels more realistic.

    Welcome to CoinTalk,

First whatever you do. do not clean, improve, spiff up etc. the coins.

Value is in the condition of the dollars. if possible post pictures so we can asses them and admire them ;)

    Welcome to the forum,

It looks like you inherited some nice Morgan Dollars. While I am no expert on Morgan dollars, I don't see any of the key dates (more valuable). What I do see is some nice, lightly circulated Dollars. These, in my opinion, should not be graded as the grading costs exceed the value of the coins.

Anything from 1964 or older will be 90% silver. So they will be worth at least the silver content regardless of their condition. The 1921 is a High Relief Peace Dollar and sells for quite a bit more. An AU grade is worth $165 and up. Can you show us pictures of that one? If it has a line running through the first "L" in dollar, it's value jumps up again. If it happens to be a proof coin, (please don't get your hopes up too high on this one), it would be five figures in a PF60 grade

Unless it is a 1921 Morgan, much more common than the 1921 Peace Dollar and worth substantially less.

I'd say most of your Morgans if sold on eBay might get $30 to 45 . Then subtract the fees ebay takes . I would keep them in the family as they'd be worth more to me as family heirlooms that could be passed down the generations . The other coins after '64 unless in absolutely uncirculated condition are mostly worth face with the exception of the Ike dollar which might bring a little more than face but it to must be in almost perfect condition .
