Nope, keep trying. What you are posting are chemically treated abominations. They deserve to be at the bottom of a murky river! This is a toned coin!
It does have unusual toning. I don't think it is on a copper planchet. We'll see what PCGS thinks when it goes in for grading.
Cross it of the list, I sent it back, wasn't as nice as expected. Oh well search and withdrawls to continue.
While I agree the mentioned Lincoln is artificially toned, this is theoretically a friendly HELPFUL forum. Unless the poster is trying to SELL the coin as NT, I think we could simply show him examples of NT vs AT Lincolns to help him learn... not, in so many words, call his coins POS. Let's face it, if you've collected toned coins, then you've paid a tuition by buying artificially toned coins, not to mention there are PLENTY of AT coins in PCGS/NGC holders. FWIW, I think some artificially toned Lincolns can be attractive. Generally they've gone through the wash cycle in someone's laundry and you get them later on as change. They tend to have a blueish and/or purplish tint. Here's one I like. I got it as change.
