At first, I thought this was going to be the dog of the year from the Mint. However, I've learned in the last few days that the Sac included in the set is an enhanced uncirculated. The original description didn't specify this, but it was later revised to indicate the dollar was indeed enhanced. This might be the deal of the year at 50,000 released. That is if the mint doesn't release the coin separately, which they have been known to do. I know collector base isn't as large as other coinage, but I'm in for a few. Not much of a risk at 13.95.
i ordered a few also ,will send them off for grading, but i dont know what to do with the dollar it could possiblebly be a * .who would grade paper money, i use PCGS for my coins
I tried to order today but I was to late. I wasn't going to order one because I thought it was just a regular issue SAC. I want one now.
Unfortunately, yes. Once it was made public that the C&C set had a special unique Enhanced Uncirculated SAC the set sold out almost immediately. This set was only limited to 50K sets produced. There's always the possibility of the US Mint putting the special enhanced uncirculated coin in another set.
VERY quickly pick these up on Ebay. buy the "buy it nows" right now (I got mine today but you can still score on these)
Out of Stock could mean that they just don't have enough ready for shipping. Who knows with the Mint. I would keep checking. Some of the terminology has changed with the new website.
Both PCGS and NGC have paper money grading services. Professional Currency Grading Service (PCGS) and Paper Money Grading (PMG). Just go to PCGS and NGC websites and you should be able to find information.
The mint website now states....currently out of stock. And there is now a remind me button. That's encouraging for those who missed out, including you green. They might reappear.
Enhanced uncirculated is different from a mint set coin. It goes through a process to highlight some areas prooflike and others frosted. The mint introduced this treatment with the silver eagle set, then followed with the latest on one coin in the 4 coin kennedy set. Anyone chime in if I've missed any. This offering took everyone by surprise.
Just wait a couple of year then you might be able to pick it up very cheap. I see alot of them sets get very high in value and then they come way down. Not many of them sets stays up very long. Also I don't collect too much of the modern stuff, but this would have been a very profitable if I had bough some.
