Welcome aboard,Ducracer80.This coin is from one of the Indian Princely States.I don't know which one it is though. It has the regnal year 28 in Arabic on the reverse.

Princely states coin. Copper. I can't tell from the scans........but it is probably a fractional anna of one of the more major ones.

Both of the images are too dark to read anything on this 90 degree rotated images. Neither the mintname of any other identification symbol is visible. A partial name of king 'Shah Alam' is barely visible but this name appeared on more then 20 Indian Princely state coins. So, with a much clearer picture and proper orientation, the correct state may be identified.

Aidan, there is no regnal year on this, but the first three digits of AH date is visible which is 138(x)

Will, the other posters are in the process of trying to identify this coin for you,as like they've said, there are over 20 Indian Princely States whose coins have the name 'Shah Alam' on them.

I think it is a fractional anna (1/4) from the Princely state of Bhopal, dated 128- AH, Shah Jahan Begam. Worth $2-$4. It is best viewed with the obverse rotated 90 degrees CCW and the reverse 90 degrees CW. I can't find an example to attach here for comparison.
