missing date 90%

    looks like major doubled die on the date... LOL 1997?

    That crack goes into the coin (incuse) so it is a crack in the planchet. But there is metal over the letters in pluribus which is a die gouge/ chip.

    your coin imagery needs some work. That or that is one white shiny penny. Try fooling around with your camera settings to make it look as close to the coin in hand as possible.

    I hhave a $40 usb microscope. It has bright white LED's that don't turn off. I made a semi opaque ring to fit over them to cut glare. I probably didn't use it on those shots. I'll get a better pic tomorrow.
