Hi all, I'm new to forum and have already searched for a possible answer without finding anything. I have a 1 Anna coin that I'm curious about. From the picture attached you will see a post attached to the obverse side. It appears to be the same material and vintage as the coin (1901). If someone has added this post it doesn't appear to have any purpose. Have any of you seen anyhting like this before and could hazard a guess what it is? Cheers

It's a coin of British India. Face value: 1 anna; ruler: king Edward VII; number in Krause: KM#504. Copper-nickel.

thanks very much all. I thought cufflink myself and assume the other bits may have come off. Either way spoilt a perfectly good coin :)
