    Hi. This Roman coin weighs 4.25 g. and represents Empress Aelia Flaccilla. I know nothing about her historic background. I also wish that you could assist me to determine the details of the reverse, as well as the degree of this coin's rarity and its approximate value? Thank you..     Posted mine recently and looks to be about the same type. She isnt that rare and not too expensive. Some dealers like to make you think so.

    What is the Empress holding in her left hand ?

    Could she be holding a censer ? I didn't find this type on RIC's. So in case it's a censer,then that could be a Christian early signal on Roman coins. Other signals might be a Cross or a Chi- rho lettering or a Christogram etc...
