I had about $200 set aside for the rest of the next 3 months for my "coin budget". Well I just blew every bit of it this afternoon. The though of no more buying until Next year is drowned out by this lovely coin. 1817 Shilling, PCGS MS63. This thing is BEE YOU TEA FULL! Well struck, soft, all over toning that isn't too obnoxious, hardly any distracting marks.
Be aware...although I still like the coin, whoever took the photos "juiced" them quite a bit. Seller's photo. Mine, and this is as accurate as it gets of what it looks like in hand. MUCH darker in real life.
Not surprised you found it wasn't exactly like you thought.... perhaps you should send it back and get a refund .... Silly me to think the pics you showed were of the coin as you had it. (as in reading "This thing is BEE YOU TEA FULL! Well struck, soft, all over toning that isn't too obnoxious, hardly any distracting marks. ").... I kind of thought you had it in hand to see that.
