Just finished up a $500.00 box of halfs and got , 24-40% and 2-1964 halfs. Tried a new bank for these, as the last two boxes of $500.00 were barren of silver coins. With such good luck i believe I will order another. Also got an Buffalo nickel, 2-40% silver war nickels and a 38 and 39 nickel. Gotta love those nickels.

Got 20 rolls of nickels, got a 39, 40, 3 41's, 47, 52 D, 60, 61, 62, and 28 64's. Just for fun I'm making a circulated roll of 64 nickels. Just something neat for my collection. My bank has a lot of loose kennedy halves, but not any rolls. Saving up money to get a 500 coin box for them to order for me. I go to different banks and most of them just blow me off. But quite a few like me and sometimes get some rolls of halves, but most of it dinged up clad. I love finding silver thought. Hope my luck with nickels will be the same when I order some Kennedy's. Interesting reading everyone's finds.

    Here are my guesses
    1) The clerks at the store swap them out at the bank so they don't have to count them
    2) I have noticed that the older customers use the banks in the store
    3) The tellers at these stores are not as old so don't know to swap it out for themselves.

Also what dates are you missing from the circulated Kennedy set. If you are interested we could arrange a swap?

Took a ride into Rhode Island today to look for cheap gas. No cheap gas and I had to buy $5 worth at $2.50 a gallon to get back to Connecticut.

But I hit a small bank where I have found silver Kennedys in rolls before. They had 3 rolls of halves and $14.50 worth of loose ones.
I could see silver flashing behind the counter in the coin rack. So I bought $44.50 worth of half dollars.
Came home and here is what I have:
    2- 1964
1- 1966 circulated Proof (now in airtite)
    7- 1966
    8- 1967
    5- 1968D
    1- 1969D
4- 1983P And many 1971-1977 keepers in great condition.
It's been a while since I searched rolls of half dollars. I kind of gave up a few months ago.
Today's Bonanza was a good poke in the rump to get going with it again.

Thanks Bruce. I think this was the best hoard ever with only $44.50 spent.

Did Amazingly good! Bought a $25 box of pennies - 4 Indian Heads 1889 - 1901 - 1903 - 1904, 21 Wheats, nothing of consequence other than an XF 1943 D Steel. 211 BU pennies from the 1970s. Over four rolls!!! Most were choice but about 10 were stunning gems. Somebody HAD to have cashed in an old collection or they were sitting for decades and the owner died or something. I have done better believe it or not!! But that was a heck of a darn good haul!

1- 1966 circulated Proof (now in airtite)

That would be a SPECIAL MINT SET, NO PROOFS FOR 1965, 1966 and 1967.

I found an unlettered edge Washington dollar (Denver) in a roll. Only the one, so far.

I probably went through $1200 in Washington Dollars and I found a total of about 320 with no edge lettering. I've sold about 150 of them, for a pretty nice profit =)

Awesome Helpmeplease! Looked through nine rolls of cents today and only found two wheats. But, I did find a nice 1984 BU cent with a nice die crack on the reverse. Will post pics when I get some. Keep on searching.
