Does anyone collect Mexican Revolutionary coins?
I just got this great example of an Oaxaca 10 Centavo issue.
Please post your own examples. I'd really like to see what's out there. Thx.

I like Revolutionary Mexican coins. Even in mint state they look bad but there's a cool story with them.

These are the only two I have. I love Mexican coins but haven't had the opportunity to really focus on these yet. Scan.jpg Scan.jpg Scan2.jpg

These aren't always considered Revolutionary issues; for example Krause lists them in series with the other 1 and 2 centavos of the same design that ran from 1905 until the 1940s. But they were made during a short period in 1915 when the Constitutional Convention was effectively the national government, and are distinguished by their small size - the 2c here is the size of the regular issue 1c. They were demonetized when the carrancistas came back the following year. Enough history there to count them as "Revolutionary" for some folks.

I have a nice little pile of Mexican Silver that I'm saving for a snow day. :) Love love LOVE some of the designs on these coins...

Nice. I have the smaller 1 cent but not the 2 cent. It's hard to buy coins online where the only difference is the size, because you can't know for sure until it arrives. There's I think a 1918 50 centavos from Mexico with the same issue.

I am going to have to start looking around for those. I love Mexican coins, but have never seen the revolutionary coinage.
