I would like know what the story of a P mint quarter with picture of Washington on each side and the date of 1994 on one side and 1986 on the other?
Check around near the rim of the coin. You will probably see where one coin was cut and the other inserted to make the 2 headed coin.
That doesn't seem to be the case - no evidence - will take to someone who can view or try to post photo. I was told more than once it was a mint miss or some term like that.
It wouldn't. It just wouldn't happen. Look very close around your coin. It will be very slight but you should be able to see where the one coin was cut and the other placed in it.
Ok. But is a 2 headed with 2 different date coin possible? No. Maybe there is the slimmest of chances but so slim that I will still say no.
Agreed, absolutely impossible for it to have happened at the mint. These are pretty common novelty items made from two different coins.
Maybe, just maybe, instead of simply stating that it's not possible, it would have been more helpful to someone clearly unfamiliar to explain why? Just a thought, of course. Take my mention of the two-sided reverse specimen as you will, but considering the subject, it was a fair addition.
Fair enough. I was doing too many things at once when I posted that. I jumped the gun. I will be sure to explain better next time.
