Carlos - first an Accented Hair MUST be a Proof, NO exceptions. What my thread discussed was that Type 1 reverse that was used on BOTH Proof and Circulation coins. I think I understand you now, you are just needing the correct information. As for the hair, I am not sure I will have to look at mine but maybe you have something odd, if that proves to be the case and it is rare, it will need to be identified. My experience in Kennedy's is that what I think is rare turns out to not be so. I have a quadruple Die Obverse Proof coin that I bought and it did turn out to be very uncommon but that is the exception not the rule. Your coin is a circulated variety Type 1 Reverse that is AU at minimum but maybe MS state. Best thing about this is you NEED to keep it. Why? Well it is your first and the one that will make you learn about these coins. You will know everything about it by the time you are done. Cheers!
Only one question CHEERS. It's true that? "It's suspected" they make millions of Business strike using The Reverse 01 with the Oberse 02?
Type 2 Obverse / type 1 and type 2 reverse Circulated Proofs ~100K Type 1 Obverse/Type 1 Reverse (AH), >4 million Type 2 Obverse/Type 1 & 2 reverse
Here is mine.....Well actually one of mine. My avatar is one also.. Notice the I serif in Liberty... My other one....
ETHAN, Thank a lot for the pictures. I was concerned if your AH has some hair design inside of the south hole of the "B". But it's not easy to conclude with something. Congratulations for your coins.
Yes Ethan. I'm sure know MINE ARE NOT ACCENTED HAIR. In Reality these Are "ROOSTER CREST" . Thank again for your comments.
This is not a Kennedy accented hair. The serif in the bottom left side of the I in liberty and the hair over the ear makes a wishbone.
Good info.. But the person who created this thread did so in November of 2014. @Carlos Arriaga .. Are you still around?
