I'm 14 and I always had a love for halves (and dollars). So I decided to start a kennedy album. I don't have a proper album yet just a red binder, with coin slips. I don't have proofs in it yet. Just P&D mints. Also missing the silvers. Here's my collection so far:
Pretty much. With my Xbox in their with a 24" monitor on one side, I got an area for my coins on the other. It's not suitable enough lol. Got like $40 face value of extra coins that I got and I don't know what to do with lol. It's been worse though with messiness.
It's black glass with steel frame. L shaped. I wish I could get a larger desk. Oak wood, made in the USA. 2 problems, expensive, and I have a small room. When I say small I mean small. 13'x13' most.
I have a couple of Word Templates for 2x2 & 2.5x2.5 coin flips which would probably fit in your plastic pages.
Nice! When you start adding proof coins you may want to have them in a protective capsule instead of placing them raw into the folder slip. Just a thought. Keep up the good work.
The Kennedy series is a good place for a young collector to start. I can remember when my son started, it seems like yesterday but I guess it has been eleven years now (how time flies). We started first with the basic business strike coins, looked for upgrades and added the proofs & SMS coins, continued to look for upgrades and added the die varieties. Now we still look for upgrades, the die varieties that are missing plus we have been looking at some of the errors to the series. Have fun with your collection, before you sink too much money into it; research, read and ask questions (study both the series and the market). Send me a PM with your name and address; I might have a couple of spares lying around.
