That is quite a collection. No ancients, though, but hey...nobody's perfect.

Serious question - since ancients are being slabbed has NGC started registry sets for them yet?

As far as I know, you can assemble your own freestyle collection. One of our members, Zohar has a fantastic set at NGC. I don't know if collections are rated by points - I'm not sure how you would accomplish that with ancients.

That is a pretty huge collection.

I think the set issue would be the kicker. Honestly, and I truly hate saying this, but I will be willing to bet some day NGC puts toget her their own definition of an ancient type "set" just to engender the same mindless chase for grades that other series experience with this registry epeen. For some reason, collectors, (mainly men), just love a "who's is bigger" contest.

I could see how they would do it with various themes like 12 Caesars, camp gates, every emperor...maybe even make a "zoo" for someone like @stevex6 . :)

What you can't quantify in ancient coins is style. There are no differences in style between individual modern coins - each type comes from dies that come from a master hub. You can assign points for strike and luster and wear, but how would you even begin to give points for style?
