what happened to this coin?

    the back is obviously pmd. The front looks much different. It's most likely PMD but it looks like something else. 75-1.jpg 75-2.jpg 75-3.jpg 75-6.jpg 75rev.jpg

    Looks to me like acid on the obverse and drug on the ground or run over on the reverse.

    Since the damage on the Obverse is the direct result of what happened to the Reverse, exactly what numismatic value would be obtained in "pin pointing" the cause of the damage which rendered this piece to such a state that it's fit only for a melting pot?
