The little thing by "R"? I doubt it'd add any value.

As for the quarter, the pics are a bit out of focus. It looks like maybe a cud? Better pics of the obverse and a picture of the reverse would be helpful. You really should make a separate post for each coin you have a question on. Makes it easier for people to follow and answer questions.
