At this stage you really don't need a 16-24 loop

    "A guy" meaning Doug?
I'm sure he's sending you a good magnifier, suitable for your coin needs. 8x is enough.

Most VAM's or errors can easily be detected with as little as 4x, 8x even better.

and money don't forget lots of money. unless you find some really good stuff searching through rolls. Now that would be the story. next pay a dime for a coin just sell finds from coin rolls use that money to buy nice coins. Sell some of the nice coins to buy more nice coins. That would be pretty cool.

Good luck on your adventure in coin collecting. As I am in my 30s, I just started collecting. I know I have much to learn about errors and what is PMD. I'm still reading about the kinds of errors and how to spot them. Sometimes I'm dead on what I see, sometimes I'm shooting in the dark, so I ask. If I may offer a suggestion, I know that it's hard to find an error or a VAM in CRH but when you do, hang on to the first one of each kind that you find. That will be your conversation piece as you get further along. If you find a second of that same error or VAM, sell the one that's not in the best of shape. There's been things that I've sold, that I wish I could get back. That's just my suggestion. Hope that you have a fruitful journey. Enjoy.
