Think this is a variety of the 1972 DDO cent.

I noticed a extra point sticking out before the original point on the 2. I looked at Wexlers and there are some that have this feature. The thing is, this coin has scratches and such, that it makes it difficult to see the markers. What do you think? I took the picture at an angle because the lighting was horrible to get a nice straight on pic.

I'm guessing that your lighting is in a fixed position. You might want to consider buying a couple of desktop lamps of some kind.

I'll have to experiment with a few more lights and try to get that nice straight on picture.

 

Yours doesn't quite look like the ones on copper coins. Hard to tell for sure when it isn't a straight on picture.

 

I'll tinker around with the lights today. Hopefully, that will help with my picture.
