  2. AU58

  3. MS60/MS61

  4. MS62

  5. MS63

  6. MS64

  7. MS65

  8. MS66 and above

    Picked this up for what I thought was a terrific price. Looks like a clean high grade coin to me. Any guesses on grade? I plan on sending it to PCGS.

    Possibly MS62, but more likely AU58. Mostly because there are a great many good looking coins of this date.

    The coin is definitely AU, but that doesn't mean PCGS will say it is.

    I think there is a shot to MS 62....however not really worth to be graded.

    I don't have any raw double eagles and I want to keep it that way. I know it's a waste of money but it will probably be easier to liquidate, if it's in a PCGS or NGC slab. I could at least get $50 more for the slab.
