I'm heading to San Antonio next week and was wondering if there are any shops there that I should check out. Also if anybody feels like meeting up for a few beers or so, I'm sure I'll be partaking at some point.

If you have the time, go to the river walk trip and the Alamo. Peter, I was born in San Antonio, but raised in Georgia. I had a first cousin, five times removed that died at the battle of the Alamo.
Yep, that's where you start, and there's more to see there too. San Antonio is my favorite part of Texas, the other cities I've seen there are just 'meh' in comparison.
I went to the Alamo years ago on a family vacation, but wouldn't mind seeing it again. This is a work trip, but I'm going to find some time to get out a bit. Most of my work trips bring be to the middle of nowhere or offshore.
