Guess the Grade

    63 - would I have sent it in for grading. Not really sure it would be one of those let me see it in hand.

    The photo through the slab leaves a lot of critical detail to the imagination. So, I'll help. Paying for grading was not crazy.

    The image makes it look 63. Probably got a 64.

    Looking from my phone is not the best, but I'll go with -64.
    I love this type of discussion.....guessing grades. We do this frequently in our coin club, and also between myself and a friend who runs a coin shop, before submitting coins. It's always good teaching/training.

    From the picture it looks like rub marks on the forehead, cheekbone and chin, so I would say AU. I'm probably, as usually, wrong.

    Not really, the PCGS number ends with ...08. ;) It took 8 tries to find it.

    You DOG!! I thought I photoshopped all the identifying info. Well..hat's off to you for resourcefulness.

    As an aside. This is not my coin. I googled the photo. But I have a pair of gorgeous 1909 VDBs, both 64ish. One R, one RB with killer copper toning. Ain't sending either for grading.
